Welcome to Beacon House

Beacon House operates a home for vulnerable and high-risk children in East Legon, Accra. We typically serve approximately 35 children between the ages of 0 and 15 years. Beacon House uses a network of individuals who, through their work, become aware of children that have lost their parents and have no immediate family to take them in. Any child that is found abandoned, an 8-12 month process of searching for relatives or parents is attempted before paperwork with the Ghana government is filed to declare the child officially abandoned. The children at Beacon House would be homeless and in danger of becoming a statistic instead of a productive member of society.

We strive to educate each child as individual creations of God. The majority of the children attend class on site where they are instructed on how to be holistic participants of society. However, we cannot take on any more children and are turning away precious little ones to the streets.

It is our hope and prayer to build a modern facility to give the kind of care God’s little children deserve. Our current facility is leased and limited in space. We purchased land in which to build a new home and we are in the very early stages of developing the site.
